Around Ingoldmells & Skegness
We walked along part of the seafront, before getting the bus back once more.
After heading back to the caravan, we headed out along Roman Bank for the evening. The coastal buses were replaced in the evening (I later found out that the coastal service 3 extends further to Chapel St Leonard’s in the evenings), with a Scania single decker, and a Connect 9 Volvo double decker. We spent the latter part of the evening at The Bell’s quiz night, where in a moment of “need a team name now”, I resurrected one of the names from the former quiz nights at The Bread (the pub below where I stay above in Dundee) – “Mine’s A Pint”. This stirred the quizmaster to ask “pint of what?”, but I didn’t take the bait and ask if he was buying a round…
… We took a taxi back to the caravan, and when we got back – no lights. Turned out that there had been some power issues around the rest of the caravan site earlier on in the night, and therefore our power fuse had tripped while we are out. The fuse was a little bit complicated, as the one that tripped was OUTSIDE the caravan, in the wind. David did have a torch built into his new mobile phone, which duly came in handy!
