Beds, Bucks, Herts bus service changes January 2010
Some of the main changes registered for January, across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire, with council cutbacks responsible for some. I have also tidied some other minor changes into this list
After operation on Saturday 2nd January 2010...
... the following services are withdrawn - Arriva BB1 (North Bushey - Little Bushey - Watford Circular), Arriva The Shires H14 (Hemel Hempstead Bus Station - Woodhall Farm and Bennetts End), and Red Rose Travel W12 (Aldenham Country Park - Watford).
Red Rose Travel R19 (Chipperfield - Abbots Langley) Reduced service, and withdrawn from Chipperfield owing to reduction in funding. The few journeys that remain will operate as a Kings Langley Station - Abbots Langley circular service.
Trustybus/Centrebus and C G Myall 354 (Buntingford - Harlow) The Monday to Friday shopper journeys, operated by Trustybus/Centrebus, are withdrawn owing to reduction in financial support. The Saturday service, operated by Myall's, is unchanged.
From Sunday 3rd January 2010
Minor changes by a few minutes to Stagecoach Bedford Services to Hitchin (Mars M1/M2), Biggleswade (Mars M3/M4), Flitwick (Jupiter J2), Cranfield (Venus V1), Oakley (51). Also from this date, Stagecoach Services 160/165 to Leighton Buzzard loses the School holiday and Saturday service.
Trustybus/Centrebus C3 (Waltham Cross - Harlow) Revised timetable - half-hourly between Holdbrook Estate and Hundred Acre Estate, and reverts to hourly to/from Harlow. I understand this route is due for new vehicles in January, with some new Scania/Wright buses due to enter service then. (Service operates Monday to Saturday, so first day of service will be the following day).
