Well, this seems about as ideal a place to restart again.
Work is now a four-letter word. A lot more happened after my last post, but it makes me upset to think about it. Yes, I got suspended, but not fired. So, now? I feel my health is suffering with everything I’ve gone through – but potentially, of course, it could get a lot worse – or worse still (as it has on two or three previous occasions). Having discussed it with one of the other doctors on Wednesday, she has signed me off work for a bit, to allow me time to meet with Dr Austin (who I had seen during my depression). So, this weekend is just a short break with Caroline, but I will be back again soon enough.
So, what happened today? Usual bus from Dundee to Milton Keynes, with a duplicate. The duplicate (direct to London) was KC 51 BUS, but the more usual Bruce’s Bova (BC 51 NAT), but with a twist. The coach driver took a diversion via a large chunk of Staffordshire to avoid a queue on the M6, and we passed by the once-a-day Travel West Midlands Service 952 at Cannock Bus Station (was it?), and then onto the M6 Toll. The coach stopped at Norton Cannes – see if you can Spot the Heffalump…

So, at this point, we were well over two hours late, and I ended up missing all but one of the through X5’s from Milton Keynes to Cambridge. I ended up on the last one of the night, at 2055 from MK Coachway. Caroline was happy to see me, despite the late hour!
After all that, I was a bit knackered, to say the least!
