Glasgow Airport

Following the... ahem... failed terror plot at Glasgow Airport, there have been a number of blogs and sites set up in memory of John Smeaton - perhaps the best one is johnsmeaton.com

In the jealous games people play

Regular readers of the blog will be more than aware of my likening for a certain song from the early 80's, which was still being played on certain American stations in upstate NY last Spring. In fact, it was more of a hit in the States than the UK. It was the Go-Go's, and Our Lips Are Sealed. I liked the lyrics too (see above). Anyway, that was that - but whilst browsing YouTube, I found a rehash by Hilary & Hayliey Duff. Definatly a rehash, and they have brought it up to life, by killing it! It does bring the song back to life, and injects a bit more American flavo(u)r into it...
