T-60 - A bit late now...

... Yes, remember on Tuesday, I spent most of the day chasing up a lost cheque (see here)? Well, it's just dropped through the letterbox!

Here's me thinking the combination of the X8/X9/26 was the slow way from Peterborough to Royston (average 3 hours 45 minutes, including two changes of bus at Chatteris and Cambridge), this letter took FIFTEEN DAYS to come 50.1 miles !

So, I called the JCP, and they've made a note that it is finally here, and authorised me to return it to them next time I go to sign on i.e. this coming Wednesday.

Busy afternoon

It's been a busy afternoon so far today, all in town. Lots of phone calls in... now I don't want to get your hopes up, but maybe I might have some more good, exciting news for you next week.

Lothian Buses roadside machines go live

Remember I mentioned these just under a year ago? Well, around thirty of them are now around the streets of Scotland's capital - see here for the details. The machines don't give change, but sell £1.00 Adult Single, 60p Child Single, £2.50 Adult Daysaver, and £2.00 Child Daysaver tickets. The idea is that if more passengers use the machines, it will speed up the service provided by Lothian Buses around the city. Machines are currently largely around the City Centre, with a few up in Leith.

Would the real 36013 please stand up?

Enviro 200 36013 was used for a launch of the new Enviro's at RAF KINLOSS today - see pic (taken by Donald MacRae).

It would appear Stagecoach Bluebird claim right to the 'correct' 36013, and the Cambridge one has been incorrectly numbered...

... I did have a bash on what I thought was 36013 a few weeks ago. Can anyone on this side of Hadrian's Wall please clarify?
