I've just had some slightly vile-tasting antibiotics along with my other pills... no pain or problems, only woke up once all night!

Liz and two others have just been in. Liz mentioned there is some hematoma (internal bleeding/bruising) around the site, but given that my skin sometimes gets easily bruised, this is to be expected. No great worry from me, and the new bandage application hurt less than y'day! Liz had a look at it, said it was 'bruised but good', and it's a bit swollen. All as expected, not sure if it was meant to scare me or not! (hey, having Google and Wiki as your friends can sometimes help!)

I've just ordered lunch, spoke to my own Caroline on the phone, and now about to lie back in bed with the MP3 player.

Here are two pictures of how I looked early on Wednesday morning... still a little out of it...

... and Heffalump has my butterfly necklace...

... and, bringing it right up to date, this one taken just a few minutes ago... still cannot wash my hair, so ignore the tangles at the back!

OK, so I thought that I would know everything that would happen while I was in here, but I've just had a card in from my mother.

"Hello, Thank you for your telephone calls and welcome letter, which arrived today.
You have been in my thoughts and prayers for years (since you were born) but especially the last couple of weeks.
I'm glad it's all over for you now, and I trust the pain will subside soon.
I'm sorry I couldn't come down and visit, but I trust you understand.
Your Dad and Us send our love.
Well rest and take it slowly.
Will be in touch soon (smiley face)."

(yes, those were her underlines as well),

I never thought I'd hear her say that...

Later, I had my mother on the phone. She didn't say very much, but was happy "as long as you are happy". She sounded very sincere with it, and also didn't call me Son/Andrew at any point. Good improvement!

About 1800ish, I ended up in pain - with my tooth/jaw. That's right - no pain from the GRS right now, just the face!

(It's nice to get back into a routine, isn't it?)
