I’ve been a little bit quiet of late, but very busy – despite appearances.

After a quiet day last Thursday (3rd April), I had a day out on Friday (4th April), travelling from Royston via some parts of Hertfordshire that I’d not been around for some time, and some new things. Arriva 331 (DAF 3832) from Royston to Ware, Arriva 310 (Trident 5426) to Waltham Cross, Metroline AV27 on the 242 to Potters Bar Station, before having my first journey on uno Service 610 (Dart KE04 UMC) to Hatfield Galleria, uno Scania YN 56 NRY on Service 634 to Stevenage (express via the A1), Trustline AE 06 HBX on Service 700 to Letchworth, before having my first journey on the newly revised Centrebus Service 91 back to Royston, with Solo 364. After Clothall Common, I was the only passenger… but it’s still early days yet. See all the pictures here.

Saturday 5th April started with having to go to the sorting office to pick up a letter, which required £1.24 to be paid… because the sender hadn’t put a stamp on the envelope. Therefore, when I opened it, to find a ‘Dear John’ employment rejection letter, we were not happy! Anyway, we had a day in Cambridge – C was shopping for gadgets, as well as popping in to see [personal profile] auntysarah and [personal profile] the_local_echo (just before they went out!) for some guidance with a new Vodafone data card, after C had no joy with their technical support…

Sunday 5th April, C had to work, going to work in the early morning snow! She was finished before lunchtime, so we went grocery shopping in the afternoon (when it was bright!), and had a quiet evening.

Monday 6th, decided I wanted to go back to the Galleria at Hatfield, as I’ve barely scraped the surface with the shops there, as well as the uno bus network based on Hatfield. This time, Arriva (DAF 3832) on the 331 to Hertford, Arriva Mercedes Citaro 3904 on Greenline 724 to Garston (Watford Depot), Arriva DAF 4428 on the 1 to central Watford, uno DAF X776 EVS on the 622 to Hatfield Galleria, uno Dart KE 53 LMY on the 603 to Hatfield town centre, uno Dart KF 04 UMB! (sister to the one I had on the 610 on Friday) on the 602 back to the Galleria, before stopping for some more shopping. I’ve found The Paper Mill Shop is now also here (I remember taking boxes of paper back to Dundee from Livingston some time ago!), and I liked their A5 size paper boxes, as they doubled up as fairly scarce A5 size magazine files. Well, these are being cleared out by the company (discontinued) at 20 for £1.00 – hence why I went back today for some more of the same, as well as more multicoloured pick  & mix paper  and  card, in numerous weights and sizes. After I was done (well, actually, in time for the bus, I could have stayed longer for the next bus, or even the one after it, but I had to budget tightly this fortnight!) for another odd co-incidence, uno Dart KF 04 UMA!!! On the 641 from Galleria to Hertford bus station, before taking DAF 3832 of Arriva on the 331 back to Royston, once more. See the pics here.

Tuesday 7th & Wednesday 9th – well, last of the Dear John’s have all been delivered, and all with me having to do some running, calling, detective work, or go and pick up (and pay for) an unstamped envelope! If I make the effort to get up at silly o’clock, and travel to visit them, surely a polite and swift letter is not too much to ask? If not, there is this thing called email, ya know! LOL yes I’m being sarky, how can you tell? Still, I’ve found another good one – we shall see. Lots of domestic godessing over the last few days, and a sort out of my timetable & book collection, using the new A5 size magazine files for the majority, rather than the minority.

This week is now about to take a twist. Staying with two friends, (one of whom doesn’t know I’m coming…) and it’s in a caravan in Skegness once more, from Thursday evening to Saturday. Going by an adventurous route there and back, subject to weather, time, etc.

So, while my life hasn’t dramatically changed beyond recognition, I’m still happy, still have my C, still in love. Now, I’m about to start on dinner…

I'm not surfing YouTube for new remixes of this classic, but I feel this one is a little wrong. Yes, it's Crazy Frog...
