Do you remember in March, I made comment about TfL's equality policies?
Well, I found an interesting site called Gay Mafia Watch, via a link posted by
auntysarah, and I've had a browse over morning coffee.
To get on the list of LGBT friendly employers, what does one need to do? Print off an application form, and donate two grand (plus VAT) to the group running the list, Stonewall. There's even effectively a 25% discount for the public sector, as they pay £1,500 (and as Stonewall is a registered charity, it's probably a tax-exempt charitable donation too!)
Makes a change from the money being spent by their contractors doing things like closing stations without doing any work, call girls, having buses up on Hywema lifts with engines running [rather than putting them in service], donating to the anti-Clause 28 campaigns, donations to the Labour Party, you remember that lot?
I'm not bitter, and maybe I should probably give my cynical views a break for the holidays - but I thought that was worth sharing, especially as I'd genuinely thought that they'd changed. More fool me, I guess.
