Our Saturday in the city

We left both cars at home, and took the train to Cambridge. In Dundee I frequently received various vouchers and promos from the Wetherspoon’s pub chain, and we ended up with some that included validity for January 2009 i.e. now.  So, after arriving in Cambridge, went to The Regal for lunch, and a kind of mini-celebration. 22 months together, and Saturday was my last day of the lease on the flat in Dundee.

Anyway, after that, and a rather interesting one from Christ’s Pieces Park…a tightrope walker.





More shopping followed, including a stop at Lush at the Lion Yard. This included purchasing a fair few things – including a fair saving with some clearance bags, which also expanded the collection and range of items to try!

So, coffee to follow, before getting the bus back to the train station! C admitted that the wine had helped in making her a bit more up for shopping!… in the meantime, I relaxed back in the bath, browsing MJW's new Fotopic collection.

The last week

It’s been a busy week, since my last post. We have a replacement for the car… one that drinks less fuel, a autumn red Mazda, which is currently on a Select registration plate. The couple downstairs were moving back offshore, and C took it for a spin. I’m still getting used to it!

Friday… remember I mentioned Rebecca’s Wishes? Well, after the post re Norfolk Green’s fundraising efforts, I googled the charity, found the website. So, we now have one of their teddies in our collection too!

Saturday is mentioned in it’s own post!

Today, we took the defective freezer to the Recycling Centre (minus the door handle – replacement for the identical broken fridge handle, so there was some good out of all this!)

Tomorrow (Monday) should be a quiet one.

Tuesday, wait and see - but hopefully, the start of an important week can go well!
