First Assessment

Forgot to mention – I got the TMA01 back for T175, and 78% - better than I thought I'd do. Most of the struggling with the format didn’t help, but we’ll see how things go with the next one, TMA01 for M150, due in the next week and a bit.

Three Train Operator Strikes

Next Monday 30th March, RMT members at English three train operating companies have been instructed not to book on for duty. First Capital Connect and National Express East Anglia will both be on strike over management refusing to commit themselves to no compulsory redundancies over ticket office closures, and have not committed on not using agency/casual staff. In the case of London Midland, it’s a double day of strike action – Sunday 29th and Monday 30th – a continuing unfortunate case going back 10 years to when Silverlink were in charge, which the new franchise holder are trying to enforce conductors to work Sundays. Further information should appear on the RMT and/or train operator sites soon.

Friend's stuff for sale

One of my LJFriends, shullie , is having a further clearout of stuff on eBay. Her and her husband are now selling a handful of their own collections, to try and raise funds to get their car back on the road.
