Health this week has been a problem – yes, you’ve guessed rightly! On Thursday, to cut a long story short, I could feel a problem while urinating. It felt like I was “holding back”, but I wasn’t. I was going every 20-30 minutes, and had urges that I shouldn’t be holding back… but I didn’t… Made an appointment for the doc, test (the following morning) showed that there was no UTI, so it’s got to be because of the bulge. From Friday, it seems to be okay, but if it starts again, I’m going to end up in A&E, with the end result pretty much like the day before I got out of surgery.

As you can imagine, given the scope for something going wrong there again is pretty enormous, I’m hoping against hope. My doctor did say he’d try and get an earlier appointment at the Rosie/Addenbrooke’s, but I don’t think he made this clear to the admin person, who called me that afternoon to advise I had an appointment on the 6th of Feb, and was I aware? She’s going back to him on Monday.

It’s been all go – in and out. The study laptop has gone back, as the optical drive wasn’t being found by the BIOS. Information in and out from the OU re one of the courses, with a nice intro letter from the tutor. There’s a tutorial to go to the Saturday before hand in Cambridge – one day after my current scheduled appointment for Addenbrooke’s! This might be why Caroline wasn’t exactly going to go for my idea of a weekend away, 13 miles away! Besides, by then… who knows.

There have been other developments this week, and it looks as if the last work has been done, to allow me to finally, formally, leave my flat in Dundee a week today, 31st January. See, those two weeks have a lot to do. I know what I’m doing the next two days, but beyond that – it’s all up in the air, potentially. Don’t forget, I could end up in A&E at any point. So what’s new, you might say!

Good points – met lots of friends via Facebook, after signing in for the first time this past week, including a few more than I’d not seen in ages.

Unusual points – the freezer defrosted this morning, naturally the same day as we’re due a delivery of groceries (this evening). So we went out to the Retail Park as ever, and C’s got it in the back of the Landcrusier. We got it unpacked, when C’s tummy started to play up, so I got it inside the first door. We managed to get it upstairs soon after, but then C went back to bed, I unpacked delivery and emptied/refilled the dishwasher, and now going to relax. C is up and about now.

Finally… very interesting point. A letter arrived on Friday, for an opportunity I’d not heard anything of in well over a year. I’m going to have to be Cryptic Suzy on this one… but I’m thinking about it now, watch this space!
