Medical update
Sep. 14th, 2009 03:41 pmFurther to my brief mention on a previous post re tiredness (right near the end), I sent a message to the doctor this afternoon. Yes, it’s okay for me to start winding down the Amitriptyline and the Citalopram, but one at a time. The Amitriptyline, they did say that if I was finding things too tiring [with that and the Olanzapine] that I could drop the Amitriptyline. I’d like to (later) find out if Citalopram is really capping my good times, as it’s a well-reported side effect.
Mind you, alongside this, further chasing has been done re my follow-up surgery appointment. It’s getting on for ten months now, or is it just me? Anyway, turns out that the PA’s involved had not actually had the letter for approving funding. Well, they’d told us that they had – or, was that only to try and ensure they didn’t lose me to the “other” hospital involved in all of this? I’d appreciate it if they could either do heads/tails or stone/paper/scissors or something to decide who’s turn it is, and get this thing over with!

Date: 2009-09-14 08:06 pm (UTC)... The problem may be because I was referred by the NHS to a specific surgeon at an NHS hospital, although the work was done at a private hospital. Since then I've moved from one end of the country to another (again!) and we shall see what happens.
