T-17 - My weekend so far
Sep. 29th, 2007 12:33 pmI went out this morning into Royston to post a few letters (see yesterday!), and something attracted my attention over in the car park of the railway station. Former Tayside Buses/Travel Dundee Volvo Citybus G95 PES was spotted by me the other week on rail replacements (now owned by Herberts Travel), and it was on this work again today.

The work was being managed by National Express and First Capital Connect "controllers', who were arguing with each other as to how to do things while I walked around the car park... and then they asked me what I was doing... lol... I've not been asked in months, and I then get asked by both lots of controllers in one visit! Bus hairies can see all the pictures here.
After that, walked into Royston, bought a few things in town and at the market. One of the market traders was telling his customers he's going to be away for two weeks next month. Bet it's not for the same reason as I am!
Walked back home, and brought us both home a bite to eat!
Incidentally, tomorrow marks the last day of the month, and six full months since Caroline & I got together...

Date: 2007-09-29 12:03 pm (UTC)The bus has an offside cab door, Tayside Regional Council/Tayside Buses had 100% offside cab doors, bought like it with all the Ailsas and Citybuses, up to this batch - 91 to 105 (G91 to 105 PES), which arrived at the end of 1989. It was a safety thing. The cash was locked away in an exact fare vault, and there was also an assault screen. Union requirements mostly.
