Friday was a fairly busy day at home, and then we went out. It was the end of a very interesting seven days - on top of it being St Andrew's Suzy's Day*, it was a weird co-incidence that C had mentioned to Jayne at a previous visit, that she'd never saw Trainspotting. So, for this evening's visit to the north side of Cambridge, Jayne had already ordered the movie in! Suffice to say, Caroline probably doesn't need to see it again, now. Yes, she saw both trains in the movie. I remembered a couple of the lines from the movie that I use myself now and then, but I had forgotten some more were also from the same movie!
On the way home, as we passed over Kings Hedges on the A14, I started counting back the days. Yes, it's St Andrew's Day, but Friday was also... the last day of the month... meaning, we've been together for eight months now! OK, that night at the end of March, it wasn't raining... but even lashing wind and rain couldn't dampen our spirits. I, once again, used the last hour and a bit of the night to remind her of my feelings... as if it needed to be done. We stopped at Tesco on the way home, and made it home shortly before midnight... and to bed a bit later.
Saturday morning, and the weather was the same, for the first day of December. In the post this morning, I received a DVD box set that I had purchased for C (as an early Christmas gift, as well as part of the 'reward' from last weekend!), and also a card from my mother... it was a 'thank you' card, from her and my sister, for the birthday cards I'd sent them... which was nice, and unexpected.
So, we've made it through the week, and we're now relaxing... chilling... in more ways than one!
* For the benefit of anyone who didn't know me before 09/04/04, please put two and two together!
