This was a fairly interesting day, with most of the fun done and dusted early on. Caroline had an appointment at CSL, and I came for the ride, moral support, as well as to see how she compared the SHR with the old laser of last time. No visible scarring or redness on her either, which was good.

[personal profile] auntysarah mentioned how good the hot chocolate was from the machine (it was Suchard), and I tried one while I waited in the reception area. Well, we got out and drove to the Retail Park, and I started getting tired. We went to Sports World, as Caroline wanted to try to find me a pair of suitable walking shoes/boots (size 10.5 is more or less unisex anyway, so it didn’t hugely matter). Once we got to the front of the queue, the till person complimented us on the choice, and pointed out the compass (and torch, and whistle) that was on a key ring inside the box. He then proceeded to look for the security tags, and followed this with “Just to make sure you don’t get rugby tackled by the security guard on your way out…”, which Caroline responded instantly with “Oh, yes please…” and a smile. The irony was, by this point, I could barely stay awake, but I managed one look around Homebase.

I was more awake into the evening.
