London Cheesecake Calling...

Last Friday, I stopped at a Greggs bakers store in Hertford, and got a few bits to munch on the GreenLine (see previous posts about last weekend). As I'd had the Apple Danish before, I tried another of their unusual regional variations - a London Cheesecake.
It's not got cheese on (or in it), but it's a pastry square with some jam inside, and icing with coconut.
Upon discussing withthebustocrookes who had never heard of it either (and thought it was some kind of innuendo! Would I? Hmm... anyway...), some later googling reveals a pic and an explanation, on this page.
Next, what is a Tottenham Cake, and why are they pink?

Date: 2008-08-24 02:19 pm (UTC)Do you think Greggs should do a UK-wide "regional" range? Maybe like the Apple Danish and London Cheesecake's from South East, Scottish things like Macaroni Pies etc. for the rest of us - but around the whole UK ?
Suspect several of us would be even heavier if that were the case, you know!
