Well, shortly after my last post, I tried to relax for a few moments, only to have the hell scared out of me when Caroline walked through the door! (remember, I had my ear buds in at the time!) This was in plenty of time before pack removal, so she was able to get me a coffee to wake me up in time! Around 0800, Liz popped in, Phil wasn’t in yet, so I had time for breakfast, before they all arrived together en-masse. The pack on the trolley was obviously destined for me…
.. Phil arrived soon after, and they quickly got started. The pack was removed initially by pulling the few bits of the urethral pack (the small one), and they went for the larger one. A few years ago, new girls in this situation were given gas/air at this point, but not any longer! It’s basically lots of gauze ribbon, to keep the new hole open. This can absorb blood (and was quite saturated), but allows air to pass through. The feeling is usually described as an “unusual sensation”. It basically felt like it did with all the bubbles and stuff, as the enema was expelled from my body – except this time, I didn’t have to do the work. Immediately after, a rather large clear dilator had been lubed up ready, and was inserted almost all the way down. With a couple of big breaths, I found it fairly comfortable. After it was in, Phil left, and Liz gave me a kiss followed by “Happy Birthday Darling”, and then got ready to clean up.
Shortly after, I was sat up in the chair beside the bed, and I am sat here beside the open window typing this on the tray table. A lot more to come today y’know!
I am relatively happy, but the stabbing pains come back when the painkillers wear off. That does make me a little anxious when I am in pain like that, but they are now starting to take effect. It’s not so much the pain, just how it makes me feel.
