Tramadol For The Win
Oct. 27th, 2007 08:09 pmOvernight proved to be somewhat of a challenge, as the limited capacity (see yesterday morning’s post) meant I had to wake four times more than usual through the night! So, for tonight, I have another solution that I hope I wouldn’t be reduced to (again), yet if it means we can both get a night of sleep… anyway, come Monday, hopefully this will all be in the past.
Jayne & Jim came to visit for lunch today, and it was nice to see them both in the flesh once more (thanks for the flowers!) I managed to stand upright for long enough to prepare pizza for the four of us (C did the oven bit). I’d made them with a mix of reduced fat mozzarella, and mozzarella/cheddar/red peppers/jalapeno peppers, both of which came pre-grated from Mr Tesco’s latest delivery. The combination added a bit of fire to the pizza, and did take Caroline aback – first time I’ve managed to surprise her with spice!
Early evening, we watched another two episodes of Stargate SG-1, after Caroline went to the local Chinese for a take-away. I did notice a slight ‘blunder’ in the script last night… maybe I’m watching too much sci-fi that I can now understand it, but C points out it wasn’t the only one in that particular episode…
Quick run-down on meds. I’m currently working off the anti-depressants (Escitopram). I said to my doc that I would phase them out over a fortnight, so well into it already. There may be a reaction between these and Tramadol, but I don’t think it affects me. Oxybutynin, I am still off until further notice, in fact I might see how long I can keep it like that, as they do dry out my mouth and throat quite badly. The antihistamines (and associated Ranitidine) will continue, but as I’m not working in an air-conditioned office now, I may be able to reduce those (I am on the stronger tablets, maybe drop back to the lighter ones). All this leaves no time at all to think about hormones, but assuming all the urinary stuff is cleared and out the way after Monday as planned, then I will get a chance to think about what to do.
