Made a good amount of sleep last night – woke up for the loo once, but just the once from around 2200 to about 0700 (heard the alarm and went back to sleep till 0800).

Today marks our seven-month anniversary, and yes, we’ve been together that long! The last month has been one of the most notable of my life, as well as rather busy!

Post today finally turned up at the foot of the stairs, plus a later postman who caught me out in the bath, doing the Hide The Stent thing. (does anyone else have euphemisms for dilating, and/or names for their dilators?)

I got an email from a former colleague via Bebo the other day, and this one did make me think about things so much, that I held off replying until now. He said “Is that everything related to the reassignment done and dusted now? I hope so, you've certainly been in 'the system' long enough!” My reply was

“In many ways, yes, that is me done - not just had most of the gender stuff, but it's also time to come of the anti-depressants that I started in January, as well as catching up on all the outstanding dental work I needed done (I now have a new denture, it will be a while till I get used to it, but it is not so bad!)

The long enough bit was partly my fault, as I twisted things in the middle (thanks to Genetics). I am still in their system, and my annual visit was actually due while I was in hospital, but I have rescheduled till February. It's now in Forfar (not Ninewells) but I have to see what happens, hopefully I can find one a little closer (Addenbrookes Cambridge might be an idea, or something)…” [and continuing]
