Another busy medically related day
Feb. 26th, 2009 08:54 pmIt's been a busy day. First half was non-stop.
I had my MRI pelvis (gynae) scan at Addenbrooke's Hospital earlier today. Just as noisy as the one at North Middlesex Hosp eight years ago, but this one at least had an escape button, a two-way intercom, and they supplied earplugs. C wanted to come watch, as hers will be in two weeks, but in a slightly further up part of the body. In my case, the results should be back to the consultant early next week, although my appointment is for the following week at Saffron Walden, about a week and a half from now (the clinic for eight days today at The Rosie was off, as he's not in).
So, bus back to the park & ride site (a few snaps when I got back, as a Burtons decker was preparing to go out for at least one trip), stop at Melbourn Post Office on the way back to Royston, and then we got home for about half an hour, before we went out to the doc. Caroline's doc was presented with a large pile of paperwork that I procured under Freedom Of Information, and from today, she's now able to get her meds via the NHS, as opposed to having to pay private prescription rates. Her appointment was delayed, as a previous patient took ill, and had to be rescued by two ambulance persons. He was at least talking on the way out, so hopefully life will carry on.
In our case, we went for a Chinese takeaway, and we are now relaxing after a busy - but very importantly productive - day.
