We’ve had a good weekend. After I had an online tutorial yesterday morning (headset dead – I was sure that I’d tested it!), we went out into Cambridge and Saffron Walden. We stopped at the usual G&P booksale, onto the retail park, before continuing to a Wetherspoon’s pub in Saffron Walden (called The Temeraire – thanks to one of the books I bought yesterday, I can now explain that name was chosen after a battleship in one of Turner’s paintings). Caroline has a taste for their food, and likes being able to sit down somewhere quiet.
Today, out very briefly – replacing under-warranty headset, and obtaining prescriptions, and all is well with the world. C is quietly happy at her recent (see my previous post!) change to medical status, and was rather impressed at having a pack of hormones prescribed in the NHS way, as opposed to a very costly private prescription. Later, I’ve been catching up on my emails and stuff, and have partially reorganised some of the study, making more space, and ending some of the clutter.
It’s been a busy week, with well over 280 miles done in the last 8/9 days. It has been a busy time, with some difficult moments, and we’ve both pulled through. We’ve achieved 23 months together, and are now on course for the full two years. I did say I’d spend time with those who did want me, as opposed to fretting over those who don’t. I love that woman, and damn proud of it too. Yes we have baggage in our lives, but who doesn’t these days?
