What’s that lump doing in there?

Now, to bring you up to speed, and help explain this, first a few words.
I had some intermittent stabbing pain from the vagina a few weeks ago, although I get random pains all the time, so I had ignored it. It was, ironically, one year to the week of my GRS/SRS.
I've also been having to strain on the loo a bit more, with a bit more bleeding from the back. I’ve felt almost sick, and lost appetite, a few times, although this could be other things (i.e. a common side effect of the anti-depressants I’m on).
Anyway.
I’m at home Monday afternoon, on the double bed. One of the good sides to dilation is that you can pretty quickly spot if anything has changed since last time. So, had a quick check, and something felt not quite right. There was quite a substantial lump, or an obstruction, on the left hand side of my vagina, inside.
So, waited for C to get home from work Monday evening. She wasn’t sure, but we grabbed some pictures, and called and we called the surgeon's PA Tuesday morning, who asked me to go to my own doctor.
My own doctor wasn’t in on Tuesday, but a nurse was willing to take a look at it. She did so, but she wanted a 2nd opinion, so got the other nurse (who was doing admin stuff that day) - now, she did my granulation bits before, so she knows what it was like before, and she confirmed it defiantly feels different. It’s not likely to be a spot or anything, there is defiantly something solid there. It feels like muscle tissue, perhaps part of the erectile tissue.
Long and the short of it is, no-one is quite sure what it is, but admit that it needs to be looked at. Now, the main options are going locally, or going back to Brighton, for someone to look at it, but I kind of get the feeling that (1) I might have to do both, and (2) it might not be to do with the surgery (last Autumn) at all. The issue of (re)funding is entirely separate – the main thing is that a doctor’s referral would be needed. I don't want any of my previous urological problems to return, so I'm kind of scared about anything down there going wrong again – especially having taken several years to rid myself completely of those problems.
Last night, (and this morning) pains left me sore at the other side. It does leave me feeling unusually full, too.
Having spoken to the doctor today, he had his hands up the other side from (the nurses) yesterday, and there’s no obvious signs of anything unusually wrong. So, he’s referring me onto the gynae people in Cambridge (the web says it’s the Rosie hospital, part of Addenbrooke’s) for checking, and the rest.
So, I shall let you know how that goes, over the coming days and weeks. In the meantime, I’ll try and catch up with the rest…
