Almost a bad day

After a day spent catching up with things yesterday, I went out with a barely charged mobile phone battery. Bad idea, as it stopped at the time of my first call in!
Had a run to Cambridge and Newmarket – out to the latter on Service 10 (the “long way round”), and back on Service 17 (the “even longer way round”) from Stagecoach Cambridge.
We were stuck in traffic on the way out of Newmarket – I think it was Ladies Day at the racecourse!
Service 17 crosses the same railway line stretch no fewer than SIX times between Newmarket and the Grafton Centre – twice at Tesco Cherry Hinton! On the way to Soham last week on Service 12, the bus passed the road end of Six Mile Bottom (yes, it’s the name of a village!), but Service 17 ran right into the village. There is a joke about penetrating the village, but I wasn’t quite in the mood.

I could have had a bit more of a bash, but was knackered. I got home, and had a nap. In the evening, I got really badly upset. It was the worst I’d felt in ages – including tummy cramps, headache, and some painfully sharp anxiety attacks. Nothing to do with what transpired today, but this cannot carry on forever.
