suzyscottdotcomSome of you may recall that earlier in the week, I mentioned that I’d got all the (birthday & xmas) gifts for the rest of the year. I’d spent a three-figure sum with a certain mail order/store/online retailer that I’ve bought from before, and asked for next day delivery, paying for it accordingly, and ensuring that I had the order in plenty of time for the cut-off.
Well, it had been due on Wednesday, and after waiting for most of the day, no show from the courier. So, I gave them a ring (just before closing time) to which they blamed a “computer problem” as to why it had not been sent out, and they said they’d refund the delivery charge. Couldn’t say much more than that, although I’d decided to take my business elsewhere by the time they opened the following morning.
I gave them a phone call on Thursday morning, asking to cancel the order. No questions from them, no real interest. About five minutes later, one of the managers called back to apologise for the problems that had been had, and offered a few items by way of apology. (These arrived earlier today, and will be shared with Caroline, as I’ve had many problems to grouch about this week!)
Today I spotted an interesting thread on Facebook. Now I don’t normally use it as an excuse to bitch, but dear reader, the wording threw me…
…was I supposed to ignore that? I mulled it over during lunch, and I decided that I had to reply.
If anyone’s came to follow me as a result of that, don’t worry I’ve unsubscribed from their group, so it certainly won’t be happening again, irrespective of anything.
So why did I want everything now? Well, I was intending to send out some Xmas and Birthday gifts for the family at the same time, as there are two birthday’s due this month, and we’re having the holidays here this year. Maybe because I put all my eggs in one basket… never mind, hopefully the other order will be here later today, and I can get them on their way early next week. In case you think I am being unfair, I should point out my previous order from Lush Mail Order also had items not sent/missing, so it’s not the first time.
