My little sister Ruth is down here at the moment, and I had offered her a couple of times to come to this part of England. To cut a long story short, she agreed to come up to Cambridge for a few shops & stuff today, and stay in Royston for the night.
I waited for the Stagecoach Cambridge Service 26 at the usual stop. Of course, being away from town for a few days, I'd forgotten about the roadworks, so when I saw a Volvo Olympian disappearing behind the by-pass at Tesco, I decided to go for the train instead. I was meeting her at the railway station (after all) but still had time to head into the city briefly, and back out.
She was rather happy to see me, and we had a good time chatting about many things. My feet were killing me long before this point, but we had a look around the Lion Yard and market, before taking the bus to the Grafton, and then returning to the railway station.
From Royston station, back here and Caroline came home later in the evening. Ruth has not met her before.
After watching one of her Simpsons DVD's, my sister went for a shower before bed. She seemed a ltitle lethargic, but seemed ok when she went to bed (she had the bed next doot in the study, which she said looked very comfy). It had been a long day.
