First thing first, I had to do some touristy stuff before I went back to work! I stopped at Barry Mill

It is another one of those that I’d passed many times before actually going in for a look. The mill is a walk from Barry (Angus) on the Dundee – Carnoustie – Arbroath road, and is a restored working Angus oatmeal mill. It did mean I was able to get a bit of a walk in the warm spring sun, before work! You can see the pictures here.

Starting today, and as an experiment, you can text your feedback on Stagecoach Strathtay “Tayway” services (40/73-76). On bus posters state that if you have any comments about comfort, punctuality, driver, cleanliness, or information, then text your feedback (a standard rates) to 07786 200587. Include the time, as well as the service number and destination.

Work was 1500-2300, but I asked about the chance of changing my shift, to one of two options. The manager in question has emailed my request to those who do the shifts down south, and to see if it is practical.

Two other bits slightly close to home. When I got home, I noticed some potentially offensive graffiti on the pub door (four letter words). From an article in the press, I noticed that it was a string of work. So, point taken, the vandals would have been on one hell of a spree. There is some building work ongoing right next door in the High School cafeteria area, I just hope this doesn’t cause anywhere near the level of noise previous work has caused!
