suzyscottdotcom... check the windows, restart Firefox, restart the Mac, check taskbar, check sound prefs...
... and only then, look down to find the speakers and amp are NOT PLUGGED IN to the mains power.
So, how did it manage to power itself for around four hours? I think it's rechargeable...
