General Round-Up

Feel like a list post? Why not...
1. Firstly, hello to
elaine4queen and
lips_of_tragedy, both of whom I've added to the flist recently. Both found via
thebustocrookes. Cheers Dougie :)
2. Today was quieter - yesterday and tomorrow are going to be busy! Very wet, very grey, but I did make it round to Tesco (clubcard vouchers rock too!) Anyway, Tesco Extra at Royston recently had the recyc centre rebuilt, and now includes a bottles/cans bank which is automatic. If you swipe your Clubcard, you get one green point for every four items you put in for recycling (been meaning to mention that for some time!)
3. Further to my post at the end of last week, the Bluebird Enviro 200's have been renumbered, so the Cambridge ones were correct.
4. It's
cmmathieson's birthday on Saturday coming. While we aren't having any huge parties or anything, I do intend to spoil her this weekend...
5. Speaking of which, weather for the week is scheduled to be dull, except at the weekend, when it's not. Shouldn't it be the other way around for a bank holiday?
6. Oh, and thanks to everyone for your kind words, texts, etc. about work & surgery.
There, that wasn't too bad...

Date: 2007-09-07 09:44 am (UTC)in passing, i was watching a tv programme on british film recently and bob hoskins put a new twist, for me, on the idea that the camera never lies. he had to have a silent scene where he figures out in his mind all his options and eventually realises he has hasn't got any. he said that the camera can 'read your mind' so my new policy is not to feel uncomfortable in front of a lens, since it would seem that is what comes across and is why there have been so very many crap photos of me. mona lisa here i come.
